Belated Turkey Trot

So for those of you who are wondering "What the heck is Turkey Trot?" In my hometown of Yellville, Arkansas, we have an annual festival where there is great food, fun games, super cool booths to buy things and of course...a parade. These pictures are mostly from the parade.

I LOVE these horses!!!

Yes, that is a turkey falling out of the plane from the previous picture. As part of the tradition, someone (who now must remain anonomous) flies a plane over the square and drops turkeys from the plane. No they are not frozen, they are alive. The kids chase down the turkeys and then take them home or whatever their parents decide to let them do with them. If you happen to me one of those animal rights acitvists who is outraged at this, you are not alone...but the lovely town of Yellville, Arkansas doesn't care. You'll never stop them (insert evil laugh)!!!
